Teach Your Kids Basic Car Care

No matter what the future of cars may be (electric, hybrid, off-road) when your kids start driving you'll want to be sure they have a good base of car safety and care so that as they grow good habits will be ingrained. This includes tire and vehicle maintenance which will help you and them save money in the long term. To begin with, help them avoid minor accidents that are incredibly common: watch out in parking lots. A good method to do this is to have older kids teach younger ones and set a good example.
Teach your child about the importance of regularly inflating tires: proper pressure will help improve traction, save on gas and in general make your child safer on the road. Kids should also get in the habit of washing the regularly, as well as vacuuming it. Remember that every moment you are in the car with your child is an important moment to set an example, as well as teach them useful rules of the road. Having a car will be something fun and exciting for them, by turning it into a goal they can achieve and keep growing with you are helping them.
