The Legendary ESPN

So, you say you haven't been to the ESPN website lately? Did I hear you say that it's just another sports site? Nothing special? How much different could it possibly be than every other site that gives you scores and updates? If your thoughts are similar to those you've just read, it's time you took a fresh look.

Once the site loads and appears on your screen, you'll hear that angelic chorus. Frankly, it is better described as hundreds of websites in one. Looking for the ESPN NBA section or the NFL? Sure, there are the expected inclusions of NHL, WNBA, and even WWE. What's incredible is the coverage and information about Rugby, Tennis, Special Olympics, Little League World Series and more. Those features are merely the tip of the huge iceberg known as ESPN.

The Home page is a wide variety of the latest news, scores and interviews, with even more features for every article or section you venture into. Page after page of profiles and information, looking at your favorite sports from every angle. You get an immediate look at the scores and recaps, and choose which of the top headlines you want to see first.

Once you find a topic you enjoy, you can count on an adventure.

ESPN NBA is a great example of one of those journeys. All you need to do is highlight NBA and every team logo is shown. Each logo brings you to that team's page, which is more like a complete website of it's own. Profiles, interviews, new talent, stats and all the scores. Each team's page gives you the team's schedule, roster, injuries and easy access to purchasing tickets. To sweeten the deal, there's a tab with the city's name and, when you click on it, it brings you to a page with all that city's sports teams and news. Talk about convenience!

Need some inspiration? Just take a look at the Special Olympics section. Heroic stories and profiles of the athletes and their accomplishments, fill the site with uplifting encouragement. Athletes from all over the world compete in Special Olympics and their stories are wonderful. You'll find photographs of the athletes, their loved ones, their sport and examples of their positivism.

Honestly, there's something for everyone on ESPN. Even if you're not a big sports fanatic, there are so many features and articles from around the country and around the world, that you could easily spend hours on the site and discover something new each time you visit. If you are a sports fanatic, you are in for a grand surprise! The Home page is eye-opening enough, but the information and insightful stories are astounding! Check it out and see the magic for yourself! You won't even hear an "I told you so!"
