Lone Ranger Remake

There is a surprising amount of old-timers who are upset by the portrayal of their beloved childhood heroes, The Lone Ranger and his trusted companion, Tanto. It is very unlikely indeed for any film involving Johnny Depp to not be well received, but people have apparently made up their minds about this one. Depp was as handsome as ever, dressed Tanto, but it can be hard to get past the fact that he has a dead raven perched atop his head for the entire movie.
As expected, Depp brings his own flavor to the character and actually feeds birdseed to the dead bird numerous times throughout the course of the film. These generous allowances of artistic freedom may have just been too much for the older crowd. The film was ridiculously expensive to make, and the rumor mills have been spinning with gossip about budget wars that have been going on between the filmmaker and the studio. Armie Hammer plays the title role in the film, and has been compared to the likes of John Wayne. Considering how much the studio put up to make this movie, it will hopefully start doing better at the box office and in future DVD sales!
