It's the end of school and time to say thank you to your child's teacher for all his or her hard work. It's not unusual to take the time to select a gift that shows your gratitude. The thing is that teachers receive a variety of gifts and often they are the same tacky education-themed mugs or pencil sharpeners. It doesn't take much thought to find a gift that is in your budget and can be useful for the teacher in question. Since teachers end up buying many of the supplies in the classroom, you may consider giving a gift that is creative and can be enjoyed by the students.
For example, art supplies, educational toys, games and comfortable reading rugs. If you want a gift that encourages the teacher to spend some time on him or her self, consider giving a gift card to Blockbuster, a restaurant or a theme park. Otherwise, there is always the classic selection of personalized teacher gifts like note pads and pencils. These are useful because it's handy for a teacher to have a personalized note pad with her or his name and contact information to hand out to students and parents on future occasions.
